Kostas is a member of the EU, Competition & Antitrust practice group. He advises on all areas of competition law, including cartels and restrictive practices, abuse of dominance and merger control, as well as on State aid and internal market rules.
Kostas also advises clients on issues related to regulatory compliance and enforcement in a variety of industries, including telecoms, energy and aviation, as well as on regulatory aspects of commercial transactions and privatizations.
He has represented clients in antitrust cases before the HCC, including in settlement procedures, and has advised in the design of State aid schemes and granting of individual aid measures, notably for large-scale investments, upon a DG COMP notification or under block exemption regulations. Currently, he is involved in proceedings before the General Court regarding the annulment of a Commission decision approving a COVID-19 compensation measure, advising the beneficiary as intervener in support of the Commission.
