Dimitris Loukas and associate Petroula Nikolopoulou advised/supported Motor Oil group of companies in relation to the HCC’s regulatory intervention into the petroleum industry, aimed at assessing prevailing market conditions in terms of effective competition in the three product and distribution stages (refining, wholesale and retail) of petroleum products (95 octane unleaded petrol, diesel and heating oil) in Greece.

We are delighted to announce that we successfully advised Alpha Bank, Eurobank, National Bank of Greece and Piraeus Bank on the €2.76 billion financing to Nea Attiki Odos Parachorisi S.A., a member of GEK Terna Group, in connection with the new 25-year concession of Attica Motorway. Financial close occurred on 4 October 2024 and the new concession commenced at 00:00 on 6 October. This is a landmark transaction for the Greek infrastructure sector and the largest financing ever arranged for a road project in Greece. The project involves the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the 70 km Attica Motorway, which is the main ring road of the greater Athens metropolitan area and a vital link for the national road network.

Otesat-Maritel S.A., a company specializing in maritime communications and satellite telecommunications for the Greek and international shipping industry, has been acquired by Orbyt Global S.A., another prominent entity in the maritime telecommunications sector. The transaction aligns with OTE’s strategic priorities and is expected to foster new growth opportunities for Otesat-Maritel.

We are delighted to announce that POTAMITISVEKRIS is acting as legal advisor to Farallon Capital Management with respect to the sale of its majority stake in Euromedica Group’s clinics and rehabilitation centers business sector to Imithea Single Member S.A., owner of Henry Dunant, one of the largest hospital centers in Southeastern Europe. The transaction includes the sale of five general and obstetrics clinics and one rehabilitation center in Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Kozani, as well as procurement, IT and real estate management companies. The parties have entered into the relevant legally binding agreement (SPA) while closing of the transaction is subject to the required regulatory approvals.

The relevant sale agreements for the Alphabet Portfolios, which have a total accounting balance of €4.8 billion and consist of non-performing and performing loans, have been successfully executed with the respective investors and the completion of these transactions is forthcoming.
